Military Field PICKER & WAITE MFG X-Ray Equipment

LockNWalkHarness

WW2 Era Portable shock proof mobile x-ray machine
Purchased unit approximately in the early 1070’s from A
Veterinarian who used it for larger Animals in his practice until he retired. To my knowledge it’s still in working condition, always stored in environment friendly conditions (heated & cooled), the unit is in need of a foot pedal, I seem to have lost it during a move. The unit is in pristine condition!
Description:
The base is on locking wheels and supports a tall double central pillar. Fixed on one side of the pillar is the control unit with meters and dials to adjust the x-ray tube. There is a milliammeter, voltmeter, a line compensator, a k.v. selector, a filament regulator and a voltmeter switch. The x-ray tube is on the other side. It can be raised and lowered with the crank found on the central part of the machine. On both sides of the x-ray tube are graduated circles, divided in four 90 degrees quadrants, the smallest division being one degree. It is suspended on a square rod, which moves horizontally to adjust the distant to the patient. A hand remote control timer is used to fix the time of exposure. The dial is numbered from 0 to 12 seconds, divided in quarter of seconds.
includes:
6- Hi speed x-ray plates
